hun im just like you! Im TERRIFIED of
needles!!! I had my blood drawn at 4 wks
preg and when they go to stick the needle
in...take a deep breath and let it out
slowley...youll feel a little pinch, its
not bad at all! When they did mine they
put a rubber band thing around my arm (to
make blood flow faster), i thought that
was the worst part of it lol. But it
really isnt that bad at all. you also
will not feel a thing when they go to take
it out of you. Youll get a little bruise
later on probly from where they drew it,
but it will go away within a couple days.
Dont worry and relax!!! Let me know how it
goes tmw!!

It isn't that bad at all!!
Take it from someone who is terrified by
needles too!
They MUST do these blood tests for your
safety and the safety of your child!
What are you planning to do when it's time
to get your child immunized? Are you going
to freak out or are you going to be calm
and teach your child not to panic like
you?
This always helped me:
When they are about to stick you, make
sure you have one of those rubber ball
stress reliever things in your hand that
they are taking blood from. SQUEEEZE like
hell!
Before they stick you, start spelling
random long words. You won't even notice
hardly.

i agree with marriane...maybe a stress
ball would be good for you to use while
they are doing it. Also take a friend
with you to talk to.

Some people just have this much panic to
needles and nothing that can be done about
it. Sorry jodie!
To me needles are a breeze. I donate blood
at my work and I get a nice check for it.
Now that I'm pregnant I won't be able to
donate .
