Q: Pregnancy and a late period

I am about 11 days late for my period but 2 pregnancy tests have showed negative.(the last one i did about 4 days ago). I am having trouble passing stools, which are hard, and last night had a bit of a cramp in the left side of my abdomen. I have no other symptoms. Could i be pregnant? If so, how long shall i wait before doing another test? we have been trying for 2 years. Hope you can help as it's driving me crazy!

Lack of the period (amenorrhea) is the first serious sign of pregnancy but not always. Amenorrhea can be caused by other conditions (functional cyst, hypogonadism…) besides pregnancy. A pregnancy test is a simple but very secure way to find out if you are pregnant . A negative pregnancy test, 11 days after your expected period date, indicates that you most likely are not pregnant. Constipation and abdominal cramps are probably not related to pregnancy issues.
The fact that you can’t get pregnant in 2 years of trying indicates that you may be experiencing sterility. The problem could be located in you, your partner or both. According to your age, your biological clock may be running out fast and you may want to hurry up with the medical diagnostic procedures to find the cause for the sterility.
You and your partner may want to consult a gynecologist as quickly as possible!
