Q: Pregnancy after Mirena removal

I have been trying to concieve baby #2. I didnt have much trouble getting pregnant the first time, but am worried after having Mirena IUD removed! My question is, if I took a OPK test and got a positive, and had intercourse the day of the surge could I get pregnant? From what I understand, they dont tell when you will ovulate, just that it will happen soon after?

You can get pregnant from sex the same day. Your best bet is to have sex every other day during your most fertile week. GL!

I didn't realize you had the iud in.

Do you think my chances of getting pregnant are decreased because I had the Mirena previously? I have heard some terrible stories about TTC after Mirena....

I've never had any trouble getting pregnant before. I spent almost a year bleeding heavily just about constantly!! My doc said that i was the un-norm. He put me on Yaz bc pill for about 4 months ( with the iud of course) to straighten me out. It did eventually and I eventually stopped having a period. Now after much consideration, my husband and I want to have another baby and have not been successful!! I KNOW it has to be bc of the iud - I KNOW IT - after it was taken out I had a constant headache for like 2 months! sex drive gone! felt like i never even ovulated. Depression, sad, felt like my life was horrible, which it is not. you know what i'm saying? Now i feel like I'm damaged goods! lol! I have to say though my sister and sis in law both have one and never had bleeding problems or any. so ...
