I had a d&c five weeks ago. I started taking ovulation tests two weeks and two days after my d&c I also took a pregnancy test at about 1.5 weeks after d&c, which was negative. I stopped bleeding from my D&C 2 weeks after. The day I started taking ovulation test my husband and I also started trying to conceive again. I have taken an ovulation test daily since I started and have still not gotten a positive reading. Three and a half weeks after the d&c I had bad cramping and very bad mood swings for about a week. The cramping began one night and the next morning I was bleeding, which was very light and lasted only a couple of hours. The cramping felt exactly like I was getting my period and the mood swings felt exactly like I had had in my last first trimester. I also had a white to clear mucus like discharge while I was cramping. I took a pregnancy test yesterday just out of curiosity and it came out negative. It is now five weeks after my d&c I have not ovulated I have not gotten my period and cramping has mostly gone away. I am very confused as to what is going on does anyone have any ideas???

D&Cs can cause some scarring that may take a while to heal. Until it heals up it will be harder, but not impossible, for you to become pregnant.
