Prednisone and pain

I have been experiencing a variety of symptoms -chest pain, fatigue, unexplained anemia- for a few years now. My doctor suspects something Autoimmune and prescribed me prednisone 30mg for 5 days. Yesterday was my first day off it and I am in such pain. The pain is just below my skin and it feels muscular. It began along my back and shoulder region and it seemed to have spread. Its travelled all the way up to my cheekbones and is now halfway down my thighs. merely touching the skin doesn't hurt, its the application of pressure that causes pain.

Please help me. Is it from coming off the prednisone? Or is it a flare (most likley Lupus although I have an aunt with Sarcoidosis) resulting from the cessation of the immunosuppressants?
