Hello Ladies,

I have been experiencing what I think might be early pregnancy signs and symptoms, but could be pre menstrual symptoms as well.
Heres some info:

My last period started on February 19, lasted about 4-5 days
Never been pregnant before and don't know exactly when I ovulate, but my periods are always on time, never missed one..very consistent...before my periods I experience some breast tenderness (usually 3-4 days before), and I tend to me more emotional, moody ( again usually not before 3-4 days before my period) and my cycle is about 27 days...

I am due for my period on March 17th
This month has been very different so I am not sure....

My symptoms include:
I had some light spotting on Friday March 7th, it was very light pink and just when I wiped..that lasted all day Friday and most of the day Saturday( I have never experienced spotting in between periods).
My breasts became tender(like what I experience before my period..maybe slightly more tender) on Saturday...more then a week before my expected period..which is unusual for me.
I have been feeling really tired lately, even when getting enough sleep
Some mild constipation
Mild more frequent headaches(I hardly ever get headaches)
Irritability
Bigger appetite

Thats about the gist of it...any help, thoughts would be appreciated although I won't test until I actually do miss my period. Just thought I would see what other people think of this.
Thanks,
Shannon

Hi Shannon Smile

This is probably a stupid question, but have you had unprotected sex? I only ask because you didn't mention whether you were on BC, or whether you used a condom.

Yep, and do you happen to remember the dates of the unprotected sex?

Personal question, so feel free not to answer: Are you wanting to be pregnant or not?

Yes we did have unprotected sex..he pulled out (I understand this is not a method).
That happened at the end of February...the 29th, I think.
Sorry it took me so long to provide this info, after I posted our internet was down for the rest of the night.
We are not ttc, but we have talked about trying in a couple of years. John and I have been together for a little over two years already, and we live together..so it wouldn't be a bad thing, just a little before I feel ready.

Ok, so if you have a normla 27 day cycle. And you lmp was Feb 19 then you would have ovulated between March 2 (with a 15 day lp) and March 5 (with a 12 day lp) So you had sex 2-5 days before ovulation. Yep, that would put you right in prime fertile time. I wouldn't be surprised if you got pregnant, but your odds are right at 25ish%.

That being say you could (in theory) be feeling symptoms about now. Just as you could get a postive pregnancy test. It's up to you when you test, but it is plausable right now.

Does John know it's a possibility?

I haven't talked to him about my symptoms yet...I thought I would wait and see if af shows and if not tell him what I think and have him test with me...I don't know. We have talked about the "what if's" and I know he would be ok with it. I decided to stop bcp almost a year ago and we have been using condoms, but occasionally not..so far this has been my only scare(I guess you could say)..
So, if I did conceive during that time..would the spotting be implantation bleeding?
I thought that might have been too soon, but in my research I have found some places saying it could happen as early as 4 dpo? I could have gotten in correct info though too.

Implantation spotting can happen anywhere from 5dpo to 12 dpo with the most happening between 7dpo and 10 dpo. (I think, fertility friend has some great info about this, but I can't get to it from work). You would have been probably around 5/6 dpo so it is plausible.

So It could have been implantation or it could have been just some random midcycle spotting. There is no way to know until you get a bfp or af. Sorry, I really wish I could be of more help.

I will tell you this. Nothing will give you baby fever more then a "scare". You start to think of all the "what if's" then af shows and you are heartbroken, but you didn't think you would be. It can mess with you in a big way.

Keep us updated daily! Lol. So you are planning to wait until the 17 or 18th to test?

Thanks Christy,
I know I do have baby fever already, but we talked about timing and when it would be practical for us to start a family...obviously we made the decision to not protect though...hmm.
I have been doing just that...saying.."no, I can't be"..and saying "well, what if.." lol.
I will keep you all updated. I will probably wait until the 18th to test, but we will see.

How are you doing with TTC? I haven't heard anything lately.

it's hard not to have baby fever on this site!!! You are one patient person to wait. I spent over $80 the first time I ended up being pregnant because I tested too early and 'i was impatient.

Sorry to intrude but i have the slightly same question. Me and my finacee have talked about kids and i am desparate to be a mother one day. Just not this day. I'm on birth control but we use the pull out method (as she has said i know its not a method). But my syntoms sound like this, weight has gone up and my boobs are bigger too. I'm tired (but then again i always am), also my hunger has sky rocketed! (i havent had an appetite in awhile) and i keep getting these little waves of nausa and caffine makes it worse. But anyways my question can i take a pregancy test when im on the pill? I'm getting off of it tommrow cause im scared. Any advice? please! (Also this hasent been my only scare but this one feels different so i have to ask someone and everyone here just thinks im changing)

Update....
Okay so a quick update,
I was feeling really really tired all day Wednesday. I was in class until 6pm and all I wanted to do was come home and go to bed. I also started having a major sore throat that lasted all night and was still lingering yesterday morning.. I went to bed early on Wednesday night and I just felt sick...I don't know if I am coming down with a cold or what!
I have finals at school next week and I have a huge paper to do for my pathology class( oddly enough I am doing it on pregnancy, lol), so I may be a little stressed about that, but I tend to handle my stress well.
As for everything else I have still been experiencing all the things in my original post:
Breast tenderness
headaches
bloating
....etc.

wow, $80...
thats one reason why it's easy for me to wait, mainly because I don't want to spend a lot of money to test and I want to get an accurate result.
You're absolutely right about the baby fever thing..I have been here for almost a year and alot of you girls have gotten pregnant and/or given birth..plus there are a lot of kids in my family and my sis just had a baby in Nov...

Thought I would let you all know AF showed this morning...a day earlier then expected.
I am definitely relieved, although I would love to have a baby. Boy, do I have baby fever now! LOL

Any news? Today is the day right? You either get af today or test tomorrow? (or tonight Wink )

Sorry, I missed your question about ttc earlier. It's been pretty slow. We did our first medicated cycle in the end of January. It looked as though I hadn't ovulated so they called in provera to start af. Then I got a positive opk a few days into the provera, so I had to stop taking it. Now, i'm in the tww. If I did ovulate I'm about 12-13dpo right now. But I had a bfn this morning, so I'm not feeling very hopeful. Thanks for asking!

Similar questions
My husband and I are trying to conceive. All of these websites about ovulation timing are confusing as some have different info from others. I have been tracking my periods for a few months now, I have been off birth control for almost a year now. I have a 31 day cycle according to the my days app. The first day of my last period was August 7. According to the app I was due to ovulate yesterday and it states my high fertile days to be the 18-22 with ovulation on the 23. We had sex the 18, 21,23 and will be tonight as well. Yesterday I started having cramping in my pelvic region just like pms symptoms (however I don't usually get them until the day before af) I also have extreme fatigue, bloating, and a healthy appetite. My nipples are also sore( which I don't normally get with af). I am finding it hard to believe that I am have pregnancy symptoms already but reading stuff online people say its possible. Any ideas?
