sounds to me like gall stones or pancreatitis. i highly recommend seeing your doctor immediately, and call for an ambulance if you have no other way to the hospital. however, chances are they will send you home with pain pills and "abdominal pain" left undiagnosed until the test results come back. do not wait, as waiting will only make it worse, and the doctors/paramedics can help with the pain. the increased temp in the area does tend to point towards an infection of some sort... tell your doctor what you told me and he will prolly say the same thing... but wait till the test results come back to do anything to really help. hope all is well and keep us posted.
Oh please please please do not make suggestions on diagnoses, especially if you state what you just did. It can cause un-necessary panic, especially if you have no clue what you are talking about. Take no offense to this comment, its just that throwing out "ideas" when you have no clue as to what the real symptoms of those "ideas" are can do more harm than good. I am NOT a doctor, but I have taken many medical courses and DO work in a hospital (pathology and genetic laboratory testing) To the OP, yes, you should see a doctor, as the pain you describe could be something serious. Appendicitis is unlikely unless you have a fever and the pain has moved from your midabdomen (think bellybutton) to your right lower abdomen. The pain is called rebound pain. Meaning you normally do not feel it until you push on your abdomen and when you release the pressure, the pain starts. If you do not have any fever or vomiting, then appendicitis is highly unlikely. You seem to be a bit too young for gallstones, however you did not state your age and they can occur in younger people, although it is unlikely. Gallstones generally do not cause pain around the belly button. They cause pain in the upper right to upper middle stomach, near where your sternum and middle ribs are. Gallstones are often accompanied by acid reflux (heartburn) and bilious diarrhea (green watery stools). Pancreatitis, you would KNOW something was seriously wrong if you had that. Increased temperature in only the stomach area has NOTHING to do with illness, remember your shirt/blanket/etc covers that area, so it may feel warmer to you. If you have an ENTIRELY increased temperature, meaning fever, see a doctor. If you have any bruising of your abdomen that seems to have popped up from nowhere or your abdomen is distended (very swollen), call your doctor immediately, as this can be a sign of something serious (such as intra-abdominal bleeding).
To me personally, it sounds like you either have a stomach flu or a very bad case of anxiety. If you are really concerned, please make an appointment with your doctor.

No offense, but EMTs cannot make differential diagnoses. You aren't qualified to do that and you, if you are truly an EMT, should already know that. EMTs provide support and health services to a person prehospital, they give whatever history they have on the patient to the doctor, and they also give any information about what occurred and what medicines they gave the patient. EMTs are there to ASSESS patients and record events and vitals and medicines given, not make differential diagnoses.
Some guidelines I should remind you of in the EMT Code of Ethics:
-A fundamental responsibility of the Emergency Medical Technician is to conserve life, to alleviate suffering, to promote health, to do no harm, and to encourage the quality and equal availability of emergency medical care.
-The Emergency Medical Technician does not use professional knowledge and skills in any enterprise detrimental to the public well being.
-A fundamental responsibility of the Emergency Medical Technician is to conserve life, to alleviate suffering, to promote health, to do no harm, and to encourage the quality and equal availability of emergency medical care.
-An EMT may make a preliminary diagnosis, however this diagnosis is NOT to be assumed as the correct diagnosis and no patient should ever be told they have [insert diagnosis here] without a DOCTOR present to confirm.

all i said was it SOUNDED like pancreatitis and to get to a hospital. that is NOT a differential diagnosis. it is a guess and a suggestion. Razz and guess what... you did the same thing. Smile i stated later that the doctors would have to run tests and probably send her home with abdominal pain and pain meds... if a doctor cant figure it out instantly, i definitely cant, online and without even seeing the patient. i usually make disclaimers like this , so don't worry yourself
please dont lecture me on code of ethics, im here to help make peoples lives better, not inflate my own ego or anything like that.

I did not make any diagnosis. I gave symptoms (correct ones)of many different disorders/illnesses affecting the GI. The only things I even hinted at that she may have is ANXIETY or the STOMACH FLU. I was not downing you at all so take no offense to it. I just don't like to suggest someone has something if I do not know, as it can cause panic for no reason, like I stated earlier.

Hi! gir2188 I went to the ER today and they gave me milex and some other medication to see if that would help with the pain and it didnt so they gave me a pill wich of course didnt help with the pain either. They send me home telling me that I have esophageal reflux and gastritis. But my pain is still the same does not get better with anything.

The only way to tell if you are pregnant is to take a pregnancy test. If the test is negative and you still feel you are pregnant, please go to your doctor and ask for a blood pregnancy test.

This is what happend Sunday my boyfriend came to visit me we were outside in his car. He started to get horny I could say and took out his dick and was rubbing on it with his hands and the some clear liquid started to come out of his dick. Then he touched the clear liquid with his fingers after that he cleaned his finger with his shirt and then started to touch me in my vagina but just in the top inside of the vagina so can I still get pregnant this way I am a virgin!

It is very difficult to become pregnant without penetration and pretty much impossible to become pregnant without ejaculation. With the two combined your odds of being pregnant are slightly less than your odds of being hit by debris from space. If you're still worried wait for two weeks and take a urinalisis home test.

However in the future you should be more careful if only so you don't have to stress out about this stuff. If you're going to be touching your genitals like this have your boyfriend keep antiseptic wipes around to clean his hands and definately make sure you're not having unprotected sex when you reach that point with him.

and also, any time there is an exchange of bodily fluids you may want to get tested for blood borne pathogens, like AIDS and Hepatitis (that is if the other person has these conditions) a general rule we use in EMS... if its wet and not yours, don't touch it!
