I have been in direct contact with ioka, and she is not having surgery today.
Actually, ioka's surgery is not today,

She was admitted to the hospital today so that they could get the tests done that she needs done right away.

Once those tests are done, she will know exactly what is going on with her spine, and exactly what surgery she will need.

A tentative date for surgery is Sept. 1, but that could change.

Her daughter will be in direct contact with me to let me know what the tests results are, what type of surgery she will be having and when.

She asked me last night to update everyone with info and as soon as i have any to post I will start a new thread with the info.

She may also have some internet access in the hospital with her laptop, but she didn't have the full details on it and wouldn't have it until she was admitted today.

Please continue with the prayer support though. She's had a rough time and a long wait to try and get the correct treatment for her spine problems and it looks like she is finally on the way to getting the answers and surgery that she needs

When Ioka, wrote me on Sunday, she said that admission was today and surgery was on Monday, the 31st....Either way I am so happy that it will be taken care of for her...She has waited far too long for this...She told me that her daughter would keep littleonefb, advised of what is happening...She, in turn would keep us up to date...She is fortunate that littleonefb, knows of this surgery...I know that it is rough, but no particulars about it...I, too, have a bad back....However, I have too many minuses in my column to justify this surgery....

Ioka, if you are reading this, good luck...I send you all my love from across the big pond....Please take care...

Love ya girl,

So far, have not heard anything from ioka's daughter, that is as of 11:35pm eastern time.

Do remember thought, Ioka is in the UK and the time there is 5 hours later than our time here in the States.

I personally have experience with microdisectomy, decompression surgery as well, but only know people who have had fusions.

At this point Ioka is expecting to have a microdisectomy, but her MRI pics are well over a year old and her symptoms are far worse than they where when the MRI was done.

So she is prepared for the possibility that her surgery could be more extensive or far more extensive than originally thought.

The really good part in this story, is that she finally has a doctor that is properly treating her, has seen and knows how bad her symptoms are and has put her in the hospital in the UK so that her tests can be done immediately, instead of having to wait several more months to get them done as an outpatient.

She feels confident with this doctor and he is being honest with her in that she may not get full pain relief from surgery because her nerves have been compressed for so long.

She's ready for any surgery that her doctor tells her she needs and only wants' some pain relief and ability to return to living her life again.

She expects to have various tests done through Friday, and results sometime on Saturday or early Sunday, with that tentative date of surgery on Monday the 31st.

Soon as I hear anything, I will be here and start a new thread with the info and update and keep it updated as soon as I hear anything.

Keep the prayers coming her way.

thank God for showing u the right choice!

Dont take too much pain killers instead of medicines for the right disease!

don't forget that
Pain is your communication informing ur specific problem!
killing that pain never solves that specific problem, forwhich seperate and effective treatment is needed.
but we hav to take medicines to withstand severe pain too!

Better seek some alternative(not magical remedies)treatments.
You can study those advertised branches in ehealth too!
