Q: Pramipexole therapy for PD ?

HELLOW my mom has symptoms of PD since 2 years , most problemitic one is rigidity & bradykinesia
I am a MEDICAL INTERN & I would like to start her on treatment , she is kind of stubborn she does not like hospitals

I read about pramipexole (mirapex) as a starting therapy , but as you can see I am not expert .
she is around 65 yr old diabetic , hypertensive since 20 yrs , obese & start to have some difficulty in short term memory .


is it ok to start mirapex 0.125 mg Bid to be titrated weekly until reaching 1.5 mg Bid


thanks alot

it would be highly appreciated if I can get some info about side effects from people who used it .
