my son finally has decided that he is ready to be potty trained.
I had pretty much given up,figured he'd tell me when he was ready and this morning,he walked right up to the toilet and peed.
I was so excited,I think I called almost everyone on my phone list!
I am still extremely excited!
So for a special treat I took him to Chuck E Cheese's and we played games there for about 2 hours, had lunch and then back home.
When we got back home he told me he had to go pee again and so he did it again!
A total of 4 times in the toilet today!

Any ideas on how to keep this up?
how about getting him to go poop on the toilet
any ideas are greatly appreciated, stories of potty parties are welcome!

my son turned 2 last May.
Everyone kept telling me that I had to start potty training at 2 but everytime I put him on the potty he would scream and cry,so I stopped trying.I didn't want to traumatize him.

Congrats to you! Mine is only 5 months, so no help from my point, though.

My friends daughter doesn't use the toilet for number two either yet, that takes a little more preparation on their part I think. I'd say he'll do it when he's ready, as you found out from him using it in the first place. Maybe occasionally say how big of a boy he'd be if he didn't have to wear diapers anymore during the day, just don't get mad when you say it (i.e. I'm tired of changing diapers)
