Haha, pulling off the diaper! I know those days! Well, he may or may not want to be potty trained. Some toddlers love being undressed and run around naked and that's all. However, there isn't anything that says you shouldn't try: especially when he already has his pants off...one step you don't have to go through lol.

Most kids usually aren't ready until after they are 2 and usually boys take a little longer to learn, but every child is different too.

Just introduce it to him slowly and see how he feels about it. Don't pressure him, or it will take longer to train him. Here is a link that has some guidelines to help you.

You can always go ahead and buy a potty chair. Don't be so intent on him really using it though. You can let him sit on it and just get used to the potty kinda. I wouldn't really start pushing it too much until he's at least 2 years old though. Another sign we look for before telling parents to try their child in underwear at the daycare is staying dry for long periods of time. You can try sitting him on the potty if that happens and just see what he does.

If you are into videos at all, I highly recommend Bear in the Big Blue House's Potty Time video. It is ten times better than the Elmo one. I know Amazon carries it online. Or there's always Ebay.

Good luck!!
