ok my son is 2 and a half and ive had no luck on getting him to go to the potty even my mom has given up. but diapers are so expensive so i just put a pair of underwear on him this morning and he went on himself. well when he realized wat he was doin he stopped and cried then i put him on the potty and he finished going. i told him he did a good job by going in the potty but not to go his undies again. wat do you guys think? should i keep him in his undies...will it help?

I like the idea, as long as you are ready to do lots and lots of underwear. You might try getting him special undies with his favorite superhero on them and see if it helps. When my oldest potty trained, she got a phone call from spider man (aka mom and dad) every time she went on the potty. And she got spider man undies even though they were for boys. I didn't care. I don't think pullups work as well because they don't feel wet at all.

Good luck!

undies really really help they dont like being wet and nappys and pullups stop that happening,so they just think i'll go in my nappy and then i get to keep playing lol, there are a couple of other things too, take him to the potty every 20 mins or so until he does something on it then you can give it an hour or so and when he does manage it on the potty give him alot of praise and a very small sweet,i know its bribery i didnt think it would be a good idea but it works! now every time i take my son to the potty he goes and i dont give him a sweet anymore just for going but i do if he goes on his own because thats the last hurdle i have to get him through he just wont go on his own he would rather soil himself than stop playing!!!,he just takes off his soiled clothes hands them too me and waits for me to get him his clean ones im really lost at this point but he does have days of dryness as long as im taking him to the potty so im at least halfway there with him,and i can say im really glad i stopped using pullups because until i did stop he wouldnt even use the potty at all he would simply wait for me to pull it back up and go in there.
