Had a vasectomy last monday morning. Everything went well, as planned.
Felt a little dis-comfort, as predicted, but nothing out of the ordinary.
Took the next two days off work and returned yesterday.
But since yesterday evening, i have had a sharp pain on the left side of my scrotum, almost a cramps type feeling.
Is this normal?
Usually a boxers guy, but had been wearing support briefs since monday...yesterday, i wore boxers again for the first time..could this lack of support be the reason for the pain i.e. everything just hanging down and bouncing around and therefore becoming a little bruised?
any thoughts or comments welcome.

My cousin went through a vasectomy and had similar pains. Are you icing the area that is giving you trouble? And perhaps the briefs were giving extra support. Have you reverted back to them?

An ex of mine had a vasectomy also and complained of similar pain. I would give it a little more time before contacting the doctor. LIke the previous poster stated keep icing it on and off 30 mins on and atleats 30 mins off. The ex also complained of the testes feeling heavy and they would hurt when he would stand up like they were stretching. It went away for him about a week and a half later. Goodluck. If you experience any swelling and hot tenderness contact doc.

vasectomy pain
up to 35% of men have pain the rest of their lives from vasectomy but this is not something your doctor will bother to tell you about, also leaks in the tubes cause spermal pockets that get infected. lots of bad things can happen so I wish you the best of luck that these are not the issues you will haev to deal wtih the rest of your life from this

vasectomy pain
I had to do my vasectomy by my self, because in the old eastern germany for the docs it wasnt allowed to do.
So i have only pulled out a piece of 2 inches of my semencords at each site and cut them off.
The romoved length was enough- i hoped- against the recanalisation (and its well until today). But i had ofcourse no material for closing of the cord ends and so they reains open. By this fact - i mean- the prodified semen can go out of my testicles and drop or flow in my sac, where it will be resorbed from my body.
This could be a great advantage!!
What says the doc about this experiences and theorie???
