My friend had a seisure this morning he was taken to the hospital, and released before having an EEG or cat scan. I have had some experience with a family member who was epileptic and I could clearly see he had a grand mal seisure. This is his second seisure within the last two months. He was also displaying what I think were partial seisures before the big one. His blood sugar was fine when they tested it at the hospital. Clearly he must see a neurologist asap, but in the meantime I want to know what if anything is safe to give him. Understandably, he is sore and his jaw really hurts, he says some muscles hurt worse than others. Is it safe to give him him ibuprophen, or anything else to help him relax or be more comfortable? They did not give him anything at the hospital, no lorazapam, nothing. What can I do?
