I had an umbilical hernia operation 7 months ago and my stomach is still swollen. It still looks like I am pregnant. My doctor told me the swelling would go down between 1-6 months and it hasn't. It's also sore when my toddler steps on me. I'm about 25 lbs. overweight but this doesn't feel like fat because its so hard. Is this normal or should I consult my doctor?

I feel your pain, literally. i had one done 6 weeks ago, and have 2 almost 2yr. olds! Dr. told me loss of muscle tone etc. however, didn't look like this before surgery! I am not over-weight, but it looks like I'm pregnant to. gets worse at the end of day. Does yours?
