Hi, there's a lot in the post, so thank you if you read the whole thing!
I'm a 19 year old female. I take generic Yasmin, which I recently switched to in the past 2 months(maybe this is caused by a change in birth control?) For the past month I have been experiencing an extremely weird stomach sensation. It feels like there is an impending bubble in my stomach, my stomach makes weird noises, I have something close to diarrhea but not quite. I have thrown up several times. Once I throw up, I feel much better, but still strange, almost like the throwing up is releasing some stress for me. I have developed a sort of gagging and retching, that sometimes yields vomit, and sometimes does not. My heart rate increases for a few minutes until I can sit somewhere and relax.
I also have been eating strangely, I never really have an appetite, so I only eat just a little, just to stay somewhat nourished. Normally I have a very healthy appetite and enjoy all kinds of foods.
I have had very bad post-nasal drip lately, which I wonder might be contributing to an upset stomach? I found some similar posts online describing the same symptoms. Often the post-nasal drip grosses me out. I also have tonsil stones, which form in my mouth, which I have to pop out sometimes (I know, disgusting). I feel the worst in the morning when I wake up, and also at night. I seem to be fine when I'm just sitting on the couch with my family or boyfriend, and feel completely relaxed, watching television or playing on the computer.
I have a history of acid reflux, which I also wonder might be the culprit? I've been taking Tums and Maalox or Mylanta, which only seems to help a tiny bit.
I have taken three pregnancy tests, all of which were negative. I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow, but I'm afraid the doctor will have no clue what I'm talking about. I'm also wondering if it's possible to convince myself to throw up when I don't really need to? I am a worry wort and have some high anxiety.
I am on my winter break for college, and have been having a miserable month. I don't feel like going out, I just want to relax and sleep, or watch tv, because I am comfortable and know where the bathroom is just in case.
I just want to feel better and healthy again. I'm read some stuff about IBS, celiac disease, ulcers, acid reflux, and I have no clue. I hope the doctor can help, and please let me know if you experience anything similar or have any advice?
