In October of 2006 I became very ill. I began to lose weight and my appetite was non existent. I also began to experience excruciating pain between my shoulder blades and below the sternum. My G.I. specialist performed an endoscope and colonoscopy but found nothing. He ordered an ultra sound and hida scan of my gallbladder. The ultra sound showed no stones however the hida scan revealed that my gallbladder was functioning only at 17%. The surgery was performed in December 2006. Within one week of post op, I found myself in e.r. Since then, it has been a living hell. I’ve had several blood tests done, another ultra sound and have been put on tons of medications for acid reflux, spastic colon, bile leakage and nausea. All tests have come back normal and medications have done nothing. I’ve been to another G.I. specialist but he doesn’t know what it is.
I’m sure that someone on the “gallbladder forum” has experienced or is experiencing this. Please post some suggestions. I’m still dealing with the following symptoms—

1. Extreme gnawing feeling(not pain) between rib cage below the sternum. The gnawing intensifies when I sleep on my left side or stomach, bend over, squat or sit down for long periods of time.

2. Nausea and gagging but not actually vomiting.

3. Dizziness and mental fog.

4.No appetite

5. Occasional floating stool and constipation
