I HAD AN ABORTION ON DEC 10. I NEVER WENT TO MY 2 WEEK FOLLOW UP APPOINTMENT. MY BREAST ARE REALLY SORE. I WAS RECENTLY SICK FOR ABOUT A MONTH WHILE I WAS PREGNANT AND AFTER ABORTION WHICH CAUSED MY DIAPHRAM TO GET BRUISED FROM COUGHING SO MUCH. I WENT TO HOSPITAL AND THEY SAID I HAD A POSITIVE PREGNANCY TEST. THAT WAS ONLY THREE WEEKS AFTER THE ABORTION. COULD THAT BE A NEW PREGNANCY OR JUST MY HORMONES?

Welcome to ehealthforum.
The pregnancy test coming positive can be due to old hormones as well as new pregnancy. The serial blood HCG level estimation done would confirm if it is new pregnancy (if they show rising levels) or due to persistence of old hormones (if they show declining levels). You might also need to get ultrasound scan done to confirm the cause. Do not delay your visit to your gynecologist.
