Q: Post Abdominal Hysterectomy Bleeding

I had an abdominal hysterectomy 3 weeks ago, never bled until about a wk ago. It started out brown, now pink, very fresh. I do have minimal pain (cramping) when urinating BUT I also currently have a kidney stone, not my first one though. I really don't think the bleeding is coming from the stone, it is too much. My doctor said "you can spot up to 6-8 weeks after surgery" but why is it now pink and fresh looking?? On several occasions I almost covered a panty shield upon waking up in the morning within 15 min., then off and on all day, more on...Can you help me decide what to do because having a kidney stone at the same time is extremely confusing and can be very painful too!! Any comments or advise will be GREATLY appreciated.

You are going to be miserable for some time after having the abdominal surgery...I know I bled for quite a while too...It heals slow....Just take it easy and don't rush it...

Take care,
Caroline
