Short story made shorter. I'm 19 years old and had sex for the very first time with my boy friend 3 days ago. We used a condom. Here's where things get tricky for me to understand and explain. I thought I might be bleeding as I felt something warm run down on the OUTSIDE. Once we got up, I realized that his condom wasn't on anymore but on me. There was semen inside of it yes, but some of it was on me as well...

Is it possible to become pregnant like this? (I know that the chances of sperm on the outside entering the vaginal canal are slim but it's still a chance to be worried about)I'm not regular so I can never really determine my next period. Sometimes I miss an entire month, sometimes two. I know though that I should be dew by the end of this month (August) or the beginning of the next.....How can I test to make sure I'm not pregnant? I can't take care of myself-a child is out of the question.

Along with being irregular, I have a ovarian cyst. Could that possibly help me NOT be pregnant?

The chances are very slim but you do not know when the condom came off.

You should take a pregnancy test 7 days after your missed period. If you are irregular like you are, a pregnancy test 25 days after the incident should be accurate. Make sure you use a good quality test and follow the instructions exactly.

What would you consider a good quality test? I've never used one-never really glanced at one either.

PS: Ty for your reply.

Various consumer agencies test the accuracy of HPT kits and various tests found First Response - Early Result to be the most accurate.

They claim that these tests detects pregnancy much earlier, even before you missed your next period, is not true for all women. If you are one of the lucky women, it can detect pregnancy around 14 days after ovulation. 19 days after sex would thus be ok to test. If you get a negative you however have to test again 7 days after your missed period or 25 days after the sex.

Best of luck!!
