I've been on the pill form of birth control for about 2 months. I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend and a couple days later started getting naseaus and I would wake up in the morning vomiting. I went to the doctor a week later who said she did not think I was pregnant, didn't test me and told me to continue using the birth control. I also was wondering whether I was throwing up the pill, she stated it would not matter it would still be effective. I stopped taking the pill for about a week and I had started spotting which I thought meant I wasn't pregnant. I resumed taking my pill again for two days then I had sex again with my boyfriend and now I'm worried that I could be pregnant and if so I'm afraid that if I am if I continue to use the pill it would harm the baby? I'm wondering how soon I would be able to go to the doctor for a pregnancy test.. Help?

Well the spotting can be from you stopping your birth control...it can also men the embryo has attached to the uterus wall. The birth control won't harm the baby if you find out quick enough but if you continue the birth control and go through three months of pregnancy it may harm the baby and cause birth defects. The doctors can tell i you're pregnant within two weeks by blood test but 4 weeks by urine test

Do not stop taking the birth control until pregnancy is CONFIRMED with a positive pregnancy test.
