Ok... This is an extremely long situation but I want to get all the details out to be able to get the best advise... So please hold tight... Thanks

I Met this guy about 2 months ago... We have been seeing each other since and we started off using protection... after about 3 or 4 weeks we stopped using condoms... He hasn't had sex with anyone in the past 5 months except for me...

He has an allergy to penicillin and ate some cheese with the penicillin mold in it and got a major reaction to it with hives, closing of the throat and swelling of the feet hands and face...

While he was in the hospital the doctors diagnosed that he also got pneumonia, and swollen lymph glands. They originally told him that he was medium risk for HIV... He told them that we both got tested for HIV about a week before this all happened and we both came back negative... they then came back and said he was low risk for HIV... Then next day we both went again and got tested and again came back neg... The people at the clinic told him that it doesn't look like an HIV rash but just an allergic reaction

Its now been just over a week after all this and he is still getting a rash that is coming and going along with a cough... The swelling is gone and we have no clue if the pneumonia is still present...

We are checking the symptoms of early HIV and he has most of them... but my question is if he got it from me what is the possibility of me showing symptoms? (cause i have no symptoms at all) also would he be showing symptoms so soon and so fast after testing neg only a week ago... I know the tests only really test for about 3 months out but if he went from nothing to everything would he be testing positive yet?

If you need more info or have any extra questions please ask and I will answer....

Thanks

Was it a blood test? If not, have a blood test done. They are the only tests I really trust.
Some people start to show HIV symptoms within days or weeks and then the symptoms can go away and return with a vengeance.Other people can have it for many years and never show any symptoms. That is what makes this such a dangerous disease. It is different for different people. Get tested again, both of you and have it be a blood test if you haven't already.

Get a blood test. It will be more reliable.
