Q: Possible to get pregnant on depo?

Is my son's girlfriend telling the truth? She has been getting the depo shot She said that when she went back to get her next shot, the doctor told her she was 5 weeks preg. Of course, this was right after my son broke up with her. What do you think?

Are you saying that's impossible?

No birth control is 100%. My mom was on depo and she got pregnant with my little sister. If the doctor said she's pregnant then she probably is.

I know 2 kids in my family were concived on depo and all of my moms 5 kids were concived while on depo. So its VERY possible.

No then I you think she is liying because he broke up with her...well we cant tell you if she is, but I guess you'll find out huh...

Depo Shot

Thank you guys for answering! I had no idea it was not uncommon to become pregnant while taking this shot. I guess since it stops your period I just assumed it was more effective that say Birth Control pills. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. I really hope it's not true for my son's sake. I guess it's true though "If you play, you Pay".
