hey! i'm 18yrs old and have not yet had my period nor have i had sex. i tried several times to have sex but my bf told me that there is some kinda bone that is blocking there. i tried to put my hand there but i did not feel the bone, well i did not feel within the vulva, just pressed around it. the bone to me, is circular and gives a passage for sex but idk. another thing is that a few years back i had a ultrasound done and the results showed that my uterus is smaller than normal. that was when i was 15. i have now started to freak out since i've not had my period and its about time. i feel so irregular. is it possible that the little testoserone that is found in the sex hormones is more than my oestrogen? i also experienced abdomenal pains around the item when i found out that i had the small uterus. i have all the other necessary thing; hair in the right places, breasts, my shoulder is broader than my waist but that is a trait that i may have gotten from my father. i'm freaking out!

Hi, and thanks for your medical question on eHealth forum!

In all probability you have an imperforate hymen which is a thickened and harder than usual hymen with no hole for passage of menstrual blood. Since you have all the secondary sexual characteristics, it is likely that you had periods that did not flow out. Though chances of hormonal imbalance are less, I suggest you consult a gynecologist immediately. Hope this helps. Take care!
