First time poster here in need. My 9 year old daugter went to NC last week to stay with my mom for a week. When she came home on Sunday she had something on her chest that resembled a large pimple or possibly ingrown hair. We did not pay it much attention at that time, however, we now dont have much choice. It has grown to be that about the size of a quater and raised approximately 3/8 inch off the skin. It is severely red in the "mound" if you will, be no surronding rings or anything around the wound.
My wife and I applied a warm compress for approximately 20 minutes and gave it a slight squeeze and a good amount of puss came out. Unfortunately, this was very painful for the little one and we decided to not proceed. I am going to attempt to attach a picture or two to this thread. If anyone can shed some light on this it would be much appreciated for going to the physician is a very last resort.
