Hello, I am extremely worried about my 12 yr old son. We have bounced from doc to doc over the years trying to get this figured out. He has had rectal bleeding unknown cause even after colonoscopy, sever nose bleeds, muscle weakness, bone and joint pain (especially in thighs) pain in his abdomen left side of belly button, sometimes on both sides.

He can sleep a lot. Lately after school he will lay down and take a 4 hour nap. He has suddenly developed red marks on his fingertips like he was a diabetic who checks their blood in the fingertips all of the time. You can touch his cuticles and they will bleed even though they look fine. He also has huge lymphnodes in his neck and now one on the left side of his neck is very inflammed, antibiotics did not help.

He has a low body temp and low blood pressure. His blood work from yesterday came back with High platelets, high PTT, ANA IgG was detected, and his rheumatoid factor was 7. His hemoglobin and basophils, Abs count was just barely in the normal range. I am waiting to hear exactly what the doctor says as he was baffled. My son was also tested for mono but it came back normal. Then his WBC was a little high. I am so worried about him. By the way for the first 10 years of his life he had spots on his legs that looked exactly like bruises but never went away until the last couple of years. My husband was laid off 2 days ago so insurance is on the countdown so I am concerned that we will be sent to the wrong doctor or they will drag their feet. I just want to know what is going on as my health is not the greatest, my 2 year old is anemic and I just wonder if it is something that could run in the family. I also worry about leukemia. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you Tonya
