Possible inguinal hernia ?

good afternoon folks, i went to see my doctor about right testicular pain and he sent me to a surgeon. two doctors checked me and did not find anything, i got an ultrasound and still nothing. Now it does not hurt when i cough but today at the gym i got a small sharp pain while doing some lower ab exercises. the pain only lasted while i exercised, i touched where i was feeling the pain and it was where an inguinal hernia would be. Now im confused i dont know what to do when i've already seen many doctors and they all told me to go to my normal activities. could it be something else causing the pain?

Now if i were to lay down right now and start doing more lower ab exercises like flutter kicks, i wont get the pain, it seems that it comes after a while of working out my abs

You may have a myofascial strain in the abdominal wall (or/and a very early, very small inguinal hernia in this area). You might consider giving yourself a break from strenuous activities for 3 or 4 weeks, as well asking your doctor to prescribe an antiinflammatory medication for you.

it may be just a strain like Robert mentioned or...you may want to do some research on a "sports hernia". Hey, it never hurts to read, right?

pineda24 I Know EXACTLY what your talking about...rest now while the sharp pain is still small.

I have the same problem and i made it worse by squatting and playing baseball.

My pain first began as groin pain then the sharp pain came along, i've been to the doctor but they haven't found anything. It has since gotten worse...small things like a jog around the block have me in pain hrs later.

Go see a hernia specialist...keep me posted

hey Jay, see a jog wont cause me the pain i havent exercised my lower abdominals just to give it a rest, but if i start to put a little pressure around that area with my fingers i will feel a small but sharp pain. now i wont get that sharp feeling right away but after feeling around for a little bit.
I have seen my GP, and he sent me to a specialist where two doctors saw me and felt nothing. i got an ultra sound and found nothing. i went to another doctor to check my testicles because at first i complained about a right testicular pain and found nothing. I dont have any problems going to the bathroom and i dont feel anything when i cough or sneeze. So im just going to rest and see what happens

Hi! I'm getting ready to go get surgery in Canada at Shouldice hernia clinic.I was searching here to see if there's anything I can do to keep this from bursting forth as my other one did(inguinal on left side repaired by Shouldice in 1986,no problems yet).
SO..........I guess there's nothing I can do to make it heal up before it comes out all the way?
I appreciate any replies. don
