10 days ago my girlfriend told me she was late on her period. We did a home pregnancy test and it was negative. However, she still felt pregnant although it didn't feel right. She has a 18 month year old son and has had three previous misscariages. We went to the doctors 2 days later and did a proper test. This was on a Friday, and on the Saturday/Sunday she started what we thought was her period. She has recently had ecoli and as she gets quite heavy periods or bleeds when she comes of the pill so to stop the pain she did 2 packs of the pill and the doctor believed this may be why she didn't have a period when she came of the pill as there may have been nothing to come out. However, on the Monday the bleeding got worse and the test results from the doctors came back 'weak positive'. The bleeding got heavier on the Tuesday and Wednesday and was accompanied by painful cramps. The bleedin has since got lighter and stopped and on Friday just been she did another test with the doctors. We get the results tomorrow. She believes it has gone but I wanted to know what the chances were of her still being pregnant and if so what is the likely hood she would have to have an abortion? If she isn't pregnant and this is now her fourth miscariage what does that mean?
