Is this a pain that rises in neck area and then radiates down to the shoulder or between the shoulder blades?
Do you get this pain everyday constantly or like a period of pain?
What's the character of the pain like?
Is it made worse with some activities?

Do you find the neck pain progressively worse over the years?
Is it difficult for you to bend the head toward the shoulders and to rotate the head?
Do you feel numbness and tingling in your arms and hands?

Sorry for delayed post!
I hope you'll read it.

Progressive neck pain is a key indication of cervical spondylosis, a disorder caused by abnormal wear on the cartilage and bones of the neck with degeneration and mineral deposits in the cushions between the vertebrae.
Changes caused by degeneration can over time press down on (compress) one or more of the nerve roots, leading to numbness and weakness of arms.
This is best seen with MRI.
A previous neck injury, can make a person more likely to develop spondylosis.
Acctually, when cervical spondylosis develops in a young individual, it is almost always secondary to a predisposing abnormality in 1 of the joints between the cervical vertebrae, probably as a result of previous mild trauma.

Best wishes!

Hi there

Fibromyalgia literally means fibers of the muscles, and pain indicates inflammation in the tendon, and the connective tissue. As this is identical in many ways to rheumatoid arthritis, the following might be of interest to you;

Rheumatoid arthritis is more severe than osteoarthritis, is most common in the hands and feet, and is characterized by swelling of joints. Since this type of joint pain can be a symptom of a food allergy, dietary change sometimes has a profound effect. Dairy products, the most common food allergen, are the most contributing causative factor. In systemic arthritis, like Rheumatoid, the cause is coursing through the blood, and it got there through the diet. When all of the joints are involved, the cause is not physical, but chemical. It's usually casein. (Eighty percent of milk protein is casein.

the frequency of milk protein's casual relationship to musculoskeletal pain in children and especially the so- called 'growing pains iis enormous. I have had several people with what appeared to be early fibromyalgia or rheumatism returned to good health by little more than avoidance of dairy.
If you can move from point A to point B without the use of a pram you are old enough to stop suckling from the cow.

Give it a go, you'll never look back.

Good luck.

Kinetico
