When my my son was 13 months old, my husband and I rushed him to our local hosiptal believing that he might have meningitis. They did a spinal tap and decided that they were not equipped to care for him and sent him to another hosiptal that a childrens floor. He was there for 4 days. During those 4 days he was very lethargic couldn't hold his head up and was nonresponsive. He pulled out of it on the 4th day. Ever sine he has had mutiple hosiptalizations for seizure episodes. He has to seperate things going on. His eyes will moved up and down very fast for hours a couple of imes it goes away on its own but most of the time he has to fall asleep and when he wakes up it has stopped and the other one is he will spike a fever and go lethargic and this can last for several days off and on. They rethought the meningist diagnosis after he kept having the episodes and thought it might have been seizures caused be neuroblastoma. All his test have come back normal. He has had to cancer test, multiple mris and eegs. A couple of the eegs came back abnormal. He just recently had a 5 day eeg that showed no abnormalities. He also has been seen by a opthamologist that seen what was going on. She said it had nothing to do with his eyes and that his never endings looked like he might have had pressure on the brain at some point this was about 5 months after it all started. They can't tell us anything other then everything looks normal. they don't listen when I try and asked them if it might be complications from meningist they just keep looking at it being nerublastoma. I personally thing that he is might be having complications from meningist. I would love to know if anyone else has a similar stroy.
