possibility of Low lying Placenta repeating in 2nd preg?

During my first pregnancy I had problem of low lying placenta and because of bleeding in my 6th month pelvic stitching was done and was bedridden till delivery.

Please let me know the possibility of this repeating during my second pregnancy and if there is a necessity of being bedridden for the whole 9months. Also what are the precautions to be taken to avoid complete bed rest.
