Q: Positive ANA

I have been battling with my health (or lack thereof!) for several years and have just gotten a positive ANA result and my SED rate is 87. I feel horrible and my doctor is out of town until Friday. I have pain medication, but I am so fatigued I can barely stand, even if I could it hurts to stand on my own two feet. My hands hurts to type, but I can not tolerate noise to talk. I am waiting to get an appointment with a Rheumatologist but that will take some time. Can anyone help me with advice on how to survive until Friday morning? Do I just sleep until then or what? Pain, fatigue, weakness, swelling and my temperature is all over the board. No fever, just hot, cold, hot, cold. Sad

Soaks
Hi.... not sure if this will help, but try soaking in a hot bath with epsom salts and a little bottle of hydrogen peroxide (pour entire bottle into bath). Friend of mine has polymyositis and when her muscles hurt, she would do these soaks. She said it made her feel better. Plus... you might try a gluten-free diet (see celiac disease diets). She swears it helped her tremendously. Let me know if you want to know other suggestions... there might be a couple of other suggestions for treatment.
