I just recently got yet another positive ana test back. This doctor told me that It more than likely is not a false positive because it was an ana/dna test. The titers, sed rate, ect. have all come back "acceptable." I have had this test positive for 5 years now. The symptoms: cold toes and fingers, dry eyes, mouth and vaginal area, numbness and tingling, stiffness in neck during sleep, muscle cramps, lack of feeling with outer body, (ie: skin). I am going to see a couple of specialists. But, I am scared. I have been to many specialists and they say that I am either crazy or they just blow me off. Why?? Well, because when my blood work comes back normal, they say there is nothing there. I had a muscle biopsy done and the doctor stated that I had "possible" myotonic dystrophy. But, she said that the sample taken could have been contaminated because it was done at one hospital and sent to another. I am just real scared of seeing another specialist and telling me it's depression or that I am just crazy. Thanks. katch
