Since yesterday I've noticed a minor cracking (popping) feeling right below and more to the center of my chest below my right rib cage. It only happens when I walk. No pain, either standing, walking or laying down. I had open heart surgery last year and am wondering if this could be related to that procedure. I had a value replacement. If not, any suggestions? Thank you
The heart is on the left. What's on the right, just under the rib cage, is the liver. If you have scoliosis, this could cause your liver to be displaced to the point where it snaps across a rib. I have that problem with my spleen.
My 11 year old daughter has this same popping under her lower right rib cage as well. But as she breaths in and out we can feel it "Pop". She has no ascociated pain with it that we can pin point. Although she does speak of frequent stomache aches.
Any thoughts as to what this may be at her age would be very helpful.
