I was sitting the other day stretching my right hip flexor (left foot flat on floor, right ankle over left knee pull right knee up towards right ear) and felt (not sure if it was audible or not) a pop followed by moderate to severe pain in right knee in the soft spot below knee cap laterally to the right....after a few seconds the pain had gone and i was able to walk it off. there is no instabilty or swelling in the knee, but the outside has become a bit sore....wondering if this may be a menicus tear or something else.
