Poop questions
Posted: 04-09-08 21:07pm

Ok, these are not my questions lol, but a friend of mine wanted me to post here and see if you all could come up with some answers. Mind you, I've already researched the web and I've already been to the smellypoop website. Just wanting something more than "turd" answers, because she doesn't like the site because it calls them turds (which they are but anyways it's still not my question lol.)

So ok, here goes:

1. What is poop? From what I understand, your body extracts things that aren't necessarily solid from food--like minerals, and vitamins, and...macronutrients. So, is poop the solid part of the food you ate pound for pound?

2. Where does weight go when you "lose" it? I mean, the actual fat. It has to come out somewhere, right--is it poop? or does it actually like, vaporize or something when you 'burn' calories.

Thanks everyone!

The fat is consumed by your body - that's why exercise is such an important part of dieting. Your body "eats" the fat! That's why it's "stored", so that in times of famine, early hominids wouldn't die. The fat is turned into the energy needed for you to move, jump, etc.

There must be some fat that doesn't get absorbed though...I mean in that case I know I'd really be a lard ball because I don't get much exercise having to stay inside all the time.

Well not all of your food is turned INTO fat.

What people might not know is that just because you eat "fat" (like say on steak or chicken" doesn't mean that exact fat gets added to your body. Quite the opposite actually. That fat is digested in your stomach and intestines and used as energy. Any surplus energy derived from the food is then turned into fat. Yes, your body turns solid matter into energy and then back into solid matter!!! Remember e=mc^2? Your body does this every day!!

People with higher metabolisms like myself can eat fatty foods and not exercise and don't gain weight simply because our bodies consume the energy derived from our foods at a very fast rate - thus, there isn't much left to turn into fat.
