Q: Polymer hydrogel

I went to this get together (aka "skinny party") where they were touting off about this polymer hydrogel that expands in your stomach so you don't eat as much. I found it alarming that anyone would want to put something like this into their body, despite the claims that it is natural and similar to pectin (jello). I've been trying to research it and find out the bad side of it but all I can find are distributor sites gushing about how great it is. Anyone know more about this so I can better inform my naive friends (who were all thrilled to try it)?

Thanks,

A concerned friend

Hi pianofriend,

What's the exact name of the product? That does sound a little gross to be honest. I can understand your concern.

Name
The company is MY03 and the product is called FORM. They have a meal replacement shake that supposedly replaces the nutrients you lose by not eating as much--but I've never believed you can consume everything through a liquid.
