Hello,

Welcome to ehealthforum

In polycystic ovaries the hormone dis-balance is such that there are long intervals in between two periods. The best way to regularize the periods in such a situation is to take oral pills. It is very important that you start the treatment soon so that hormonal levels can be regularized. It may take time to conceive as it does cause fertility issues but woman do conceive with PCOS.
It is quite common these days.Just take healthy balanced diet and do regular exercise and if you are overweight consider controlling the weight as it can be an issue in PCOD.
Take care

I myself have pcos and I was with my ex for six years and the last three years we tried to concieve with no luck. I was on a hormone pill to regulate my periods and our next step was a fertility plan but we did not make it that far before we split up. Anyways, I know of people with pcos and get pregnant with no problems so it is possiable. The best advice I can give you is talk with you gyn and she what they suggest. I wish you the best of luck! I know its an awful feeling wanting children and not being successful!
