I have never been pregnant and am hoping that I am. Had inrercourse 5-6 times in the past month with the pull out method. Anyone that can speak from experience, are pregnancy symptoms pretty much the same as your PMS or period symptoms coming on? Extreme fatigue, cramping, slight dizziness, slight nausea (might be anxious), no breast pain. I'm thinking its just a regular period and will have to wait and see how heavy it is, but I was just curious and looking for someone with an experienced opinion Thanks in advance!

If you're trying to get pregnant then you may not want to be using the pull out method.

Yes, pregnancy symptoms and PMS symptoms can be pretty much the same. PMS is however followed by a period and pregnancy not, but you know that already.

The only real early symptoms of pregnancy are your periods stopping altogether and the hormone change that can be detected with pregnancy tests.

If the man is good with pulling out, it is still a very efficient way of preventing pregnancy. It is just not good if you want to prevent pregnancy at all costs and can't afford a slip.

With perfect use (urination before sex, pulling out in time, keeping sperm away from the vulva, not having anatomical problems, cleaning up correctly) only 4 out of every 100 couples that used it for a year will get pregnant according to the latest statistics. If you are not careful, only 19 of every 100 couples that used it for a year will get pregnant. This is in comparison to 75 of every 100 couples that do not take any precaution that get pregnant.

Well I wasn't trying to get pregnant, so we were using the pullout method 4-5 times in the last month on all different dates. After ejaculating he would not urinate before starting up again, we just cleaned up. But deep down I would be very happy if I was. I'm sure its just regular PMS because its about that time, but I guess I can hope. Thanks for your help and opinions. I guess its just wait and see Smile
