I'll be 50 in August. My last period was in Feb. 2008, so it's been 16 months ago. For the past few days, I've felt like I'm about to get a period. I've had crampiness in my lower abdomen, lower backache, and breast tenderness, but no signs of any bleeding. I had some vaginal scratchiness a couple of days ago, so I wondered if it could be a yeast infection, but that wouldn't explain the breast tenderness. Anyone have any comments? Thanks.

You will get those kinds of symptoms even after menopause from time to time. I finished when I was 45, and still get a cramp or two, and some of the other symptoms and that was 11 years ago. So I wouldn't worry too much about it unless it hangs around too long. Then you can call the doctor, but for now, no biggie.
