Hmmm that sounds somewhat serious. The best thing for you to do, is go too a doctor and have it checked out.

Thank you for your reply .... I have had a scan done of my sinus, which was clear. I had blood tests which showed elavated white blood count which could mean inflammation or infection, I was given anti biotics and I was put onto trepiline, but it did nothing. Trepiline just made me eat like a horse .... Did not need that....Lol also as strange as this is going to sound..... I was shaking yesterday in such pain, and ended up sobbing, and within 5 minutes, it seemed to relieve the pressure and the head pain and nausea I had felt seemed to subside somewhat. ...It also affects my perception. I need someone here in the medical profession to listen to what I am saying to them :(

You should consider consulting an ear, nose and throat specialist before adopting any treatments. However, I would like to share my personal experiences. I have hypersensitivity to dust mite, yeast and some pollens (very high ige levels). The common flu seems to exasperate the condition. If the inflammation is also respiratory related you should be on corticosteroids with ventolin. However the inflammation which can manifest in the sinuses, though not life threatening can be extremely painful. The upper frontal lobe sinuses are constantly draining but when blocked due to excess mucous or inflammation due to an allergy you develop a powerful vacuum and it can be debilitating painful. For example, the sinus inflammation in your cheeks can extend down into you teeth and simulate a dental cavity. Sinus inflammation in you upper frontal lobe is just like migraine, which can extend down into your eye. Bright lights and near focusing will hurt. A pink coloration on the eye can also occur with discharge, resembling an eye infection or conjunctivitis.
When you feel pain your first thought might be an infection is present but that may not be the case. Antibiotic drops will worsen your eye if the irritation or discomfort is allergy related. The use of antihistamines is helpful but doesn't get to the root of the problem. You may get relief with corticosteroid tablets and eye drops but extreme caution must be observed. Corticosteroids creams, tablets and eye drops are potentially short term gain and long term pain. I believe the inhalers for asthma are quite safe and essential for proper asthma management. Corticosteroids for the treatment of an inflamed sinus will require 1 or 2 days to start working and you will need pain killers (panadol). Accepting the fact that your immune system may not return to normal, the prospect of repeated episodes of sinus inflammation is very real. I would therefore like to suggest non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (also pain killers) such as nurofen (also called ibuprofen). This in conjunction with nasal spay such as nasonex should be effective. I hope this is useful but please note I am not a medico and your condition needs to be investigated properly.
