ok im nervous. i had sex on monday and i got the pill today. This would make it at the end of 72 hours. See i ovulate today so im super nervous. my bigger concern is if the egg fertilizes will this pill effect it? Or will it just keep it from attaching. I just want to make sure that is doesnt cause effects to the fertilized egg before attaching to me. so that is why im nervous. I just dont want to wind up pregnant with a baby how has issues because of this pill... ANY insite? Need as much information as i can get

I actually just had the same problem. I just took the pills on tuesday (waited 8 hours and 45 min after the accident) so i should be good. They say that if you take it within 24 hours you will probably be okay. Your 72 hours is pushing it. It CAN still work and correct me if im wrong but i think the % of it working at 72 hours is about 75%. I hope you took the pill right away when you got them, and the second one 12 hours later. If you dont get your period within like a week after it is due take a pregnancy test. Much luck.

I really dont know the answer to this question but could you call the number on the precription package maybe? Sometimes there is a hotline for you to use if you experience bad side affects or have comments?????
