What does placqunil do? Does it manage pain and stiffness or does it prevent the immune system from attacking?

The precise mechanism of Plaquenil action is not known, probably reducing the inflammation and its effects (swelling, pain, redness, stiffness of joints).
Usually, it takes several weeks or months of regular daily use to see improvement of arthritis.
Be aware of the possible side effects!
You will need to obtain regular check ups for your vision!
