I have a skin condition which I was told the first time was pityriasis rosea. The first time I had it for 6 weeks, went to the doctor and was prescribed what I think was prednazone or pregnazone. It was a blister pack with 6 days of treatment starting with 6 pills, then 5,4,3,2,1 per day and that cleared it up at the time, I was 17. I even have a couple scars where the color just never righted itself in my skin.

I got it again a couple years later, and a dermatologist said, that was the same thing and I just let it go on it's own after 6 different failure creams ( i had a new general doc who kept prescribing me antifungicals because he wouldn't listen to me or the dermatologist)

Now, I'm 22 and I think I've had it again for a few months. It's not as bad as the pics of other people I see. It probably isnt even pityriasis rosea. I get a tiny pimple with smaller bumps around (about an inch diameter for patches and then there are random bumps) it and I pop it. A thick almost solid white (sometimes completely solid) comes out, often with a hair attached.

There isn't much itching unless it's the heading one itself, which often refills (doesn't take much) I know I should stop picking (but I mentally can't), its probably what has spread it all over my body. I have it on my forehead hair line, pretty bad.

I don't know if i should go to a doctor for a different treatment or what it could be. I'm tired of getting told it's a fungus (when antifungicals do nothing) or something that can be treated with steroid creams (rosea, which help but dont cure) My doc wouldn't give me prednazone again because of the hormones (i was on the birth control pill).

Any Ideas?

LONG TIME I KNOW
HAVE THEY EVER MENTIONED FOLLICULITIS? I HAVE A PLETHERA OF SKIN ISSUES, AND THAT IS WHAT YOURS SOUNDS LIKE. ANTIBACTERIALS SOAPS AND LOTIONS CAN EASILY HELP. YOU SHOULD GOOGLE IT AND LOOK AT PICS. GOOD LUCK!
