Hi Doc,

On my left leg thigh, about seven inches below my waistline, and about 5 inches away from my groin, I have noticed a pimple-like bump. The base is about 2/5th of a centimeter. The color is purple-ish and sometimes a little red. When I touch, or press it it does not hurt, and a liquid first comes out, if I press more then a very little amount of blood draws. I have probably had it for months now. I don't have anything like it anywhere on my leg. Thank you. I would really appreciate if I get response. I can send a picture of it if needed. Also when it I started touch it, it got a little bigger and pinker. Small pink rashes around the bump got visible.

Hello,
Welcome to the forum. Such kind of lump can be swollen lymph node, boils or abscess, cyst, hematoma formation after muscle strain or a benign tumor. For the confirmation of diagnosis, you need to get this lump examined from a doctor and get a MRI scan for any soft tissue growth (to rule out any tumor) and a FNAB (fine needle aspiration biopsy) done.

Till then, apply warm compresses on the bump and keep the area clean. You should consult a doctor as you might need a course of antibiotics/anti-inflammatories to take care of the same.

I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
