Hello everyone! For the past couple of weeks I have had trouble with pills and some foods going down my throat. I have no problem swallowing them, but pills especially seem to stick in the top of my throat. They usually go away within a couple of hours, but it pretty upsetting to feel them sitting there. Some foods also do it, mostly crunchy or hard foods like chips, or breaded foods. I suffer from over active thyroid, which is being controlled by medication. I also have anxiety problems, so I'm wondering if I am making it worse by obsessing over it. I can definitely feel the items sitting there, so I'm pretty sure it's not my imagination. I went to a family doctor who said my throat was red, and prescribed antibiotics for me. It hasn't made the symptoms go away though. Any thoughts will be appreciated!

If you have a enlarged thyroid it could be due to that ,if not sounds like you have gerd, too much acid in the stomach.Try drinking alot of water and see if it all goes down,If you feel like you get indigestion all the time it is probably gerd. They will give you omeprazole or some other med.
