New User, Becoming EHEALTHy
I have just recently started taking Ortho
Cyclen. I had been on Ortho Tri-Cyclen
from November 2005 until February 2008. I
had to switch to Ortho Cyclen due to
spotting issues. I started my first pack
of Ortho Cyclen towards the end of
February. I didn't notice any changes,
everything seemed the same. The next pack
I started, which was towards the end of
March brought changes. I usually take my
pill at noon. So, I took my pill (the
first one of the new pack) and later that
night I got a very intense headache in the
base of my head on the left side. When I
would walk, my teeth felt like they were
going to fall out of my head. I went to
bed early that night and by 3:00 am I was
feeling sick to my stomach. I got up a
few times, thinking I had to throw up.
About the 4th or 5th time I got up, I
threw up. And threw up 3 times in about a
3 hour period. After that I felt fine.
Yesterday was my day to start another pack
and I was nervous! I got that same type
of headache a few days earlier and some
Advil took care of it. Last night/early
morning at about 4:00 am I started feeling
funny and once again threw up. However it
was just one time of throwing up this
time. Could this just be my body's way of
getting used to a new pill???
