I have just recently started taking Ortho Cyclen. I had been on Ortho Tri-Cyclen from November 2005 until February 2008. I had to switch to Ortho Cyclen due to spotting issues. I started my first pack of Ortho Cyclen towards the end of February. I didn't notice any changes, everything seemed the same. The next pack I started, which was towards the end of March brought changes. I usually take my pill at noon. So, I took my pill (the first one of the new pack) and later that night I got a very intense headache in the base of my head on the left side. When I would walk, my teeth felt like they were going to fall out of my head. I went to bed early that night and by 3:00 am I was feeling sick to my stomach. I got up a few times, thinking I had to throw up. About the 4th or 5th time I got up, I threw up. And threw up 3 times in about a 3 hour period. After that I felt fine. Yesterday was my day to start another pack and I was nervous! I got that same type of headache a few days earlier and some Advil took care of it. Last night/early morning at about 4:00 am I started feeling funny and once again threw up. However it was just one time of throwing up this time. Could this just be my body's way of getting used to a new pill???

I just came across this. How are you feeling now?

My first inclination would be to say that it's not from the pill. Are you sure you aren't sick or anything?

If it is from the pill, you need to stop taking it and see a doctor asap! That could be a warning sign of blood clotting or some other kind of bad reaction.

I'm feeling fine now. I just get an upset stomach & have had the throwing up issues on the day that I start the newest pack of pills.
Blood clotting would cause this type of an issue?
