I have had my belly button pierced 2 times the 1st time it grew out due to an infection and now i have had it done for 7 months and it is still crusty. last night i put a bit of savlon on it as it looked a bit inflamed but thismorning the savlon has made it worse, its swolen and red and the bar is being pushed out in the middle due to the swelling. i have cleaned it with salt water and put a plaster on it so that i dont touch it. what else can i do? please please help.

Extremely eHealthy
You have an infection. Clean the area with rubbing alcohol a few times a day. It will sting but the alcohol should help to dry up the area and help with the infection. You could also try using a triple antibiotic ointment after you clean the site. Cover the area loosely with a gauze pad. If this does not clear up in a day or so you may want to go to the doctor and get medication for the infection.
