When anxious I pick gums excessively especially at night with plastic pick. Mouth feels sore but are there health risks related to heart disease or chronic inflammation. I get regular teeth cleaning and already floss. Quit smoking X 1 year this has developed subsequently. Already in therapy. If not harmful would like to continue but concerned about bacteria entering bloodstream through gums?In advance, many thanks. Sincerely, Luci
