i'm having this thing for some times during the past 2 months, when I am sleeping. The frequency is about one incident per 15-20 days. It is very annoying. I think there is something like constant phlegm in my throat.
Suddenly when I am sleeping, I get up on my feet in panic with the feeling that I can't swallow, I provoke cough while standing up and then I provoke the secretion of some saliva in my mouth and I swallow regularly. The feeling that I can't swallow makes me think that I can't breathe. Whenever the feeling that I can't swallow comes back, I provoke the secretion of saliva in my mouth and this helps me to swallow the phlegm.
I once had the feeling that I couldn't swallow for 2 hours and I was provoking the secretion of saliva for that amount of time in order to swallow. I dissolved a sachel of acetylcysteine in a glass of water, I drank it and then I got back on my bed trying to sleep because I was in a state of vigilance. I slept about one hour after I got back on my bed.
Have you ever experienced something like this? What is your advice?
